Last weekend I sat down and watched Gundam Wing for the first time in about two and a half years. And...low and behold I rediscovered why I absolutely adore Hilde. AND inspiration struck. Since Sunday afternoon I have been working like mad to clean up the site and get ready for an update and (possibily) new look.
As I started looking through the site and re-reading some fics, I realized what a mess the formatting was and some parts were showing up in the wackiest colors. All the 2xH archives in the library are now cleaned up and contain nothing but fics that are completed. The Alternate (?xH)pairing section is also now cleaned up and all links fixed.
At this time, I have been working on new fics to add to the library. I found a bunch in my email, some of which are more than two years old. There were also emails from authors who I had requested permission from to post their fics. I've found my old list of "fics to add/update" and I just hope that those authors remember giving me permission. Some of them who I can't find emails from, I've tried emailing again, but most have returned as unsendable...It's been over two years(closer to three) after all.
So anyway, I've already got a nice offering of new fics to post, AND being the moron that I am, I noticed last night that I never added the fics from the "Happy Hilde" fic contest to the archive. IDIOT me! I hope no one got mad at me about that. I'll be adding them when I post up the new fics (hopefully this weekend.)
Oh! I found my disk of doujinshi scans too! It's been MIA for years now. After I update the fics, I'll start looking for a new home for that section and fixing all the broken links from when Tripod downsized the site and delted half my stuff.
Well, I just wanted to let the few people who didn't give up on the site, know what was going on.

I've been slowly making my way through the archives trying to weed out the incomplete fics (to look for new chapters at a later time), and to check on readability. Archive one in the Duo x Hilde section of the library has been completed with the following changes:
I've started a live journal...it's pretty bare, but it does have the two new chapters to the 1xH fic "One Night at O'Mally's" I started forever ago. Feel free to stop by and comment... I don't know too many LJ people who are GW fans. It'd be cool to find some fellow Hilde lovers! ^_^

-Moved "The Need to Reminisce" by Nikhya to an archive of incomplete fics. (not posted to the site yet. I'm pretty sure she finished this fic, I just haven't had the time to hunt it up yet.)

I am not dead! ^_^
As I was backing up all the files on this site, and reading some of the old fics, one thing really REALLY hit me... we Duo x Hilde lovers are heavily into angst and lemons! Seriously! We need more Fluff! (cause our Duo and Hilde are so cute and fluffy! ^_^
Anyway, in between working on science projects from hell that my fourth grader's teacher(from hell!) insists on sending home every week(!!!!), I'll be working on the site. I know I've promised updates in the past, but now with the new (hugs new flat panel monitor and cool black CPU thingie) I'll be working to add more goodies and update what's already here. (at least 'til Final Fantasy XI comes out for the PS2! Just kidding!)
Oh yeah, before I forget... I've been getting lots of email about the doujinshi section. As for updating that...well, I doubt I'll be working on it any time soon. The space needed for it is just monsterous, and it's been so long that I've scanned anything, that all my doujinshi are in a storage trunk in the closet with tons of junk on top of it. Maybe one of these days though...

I finally have a new computer, and I can't even believe how much easier it is to work with! I've got a small list of fics I want to get upload as soon as I complete revising the site... I'm currently going through all the fics in the archive looking for ones that aren't complete. Once I have the list completed I'll be looking for updates to those fics, and any that remain incomplete I'll be placing them in a seperate section.

OK, so I'm a worthless pile of nothing. I've been neglecting this site so bad that I hate to admit that I visited it today for the first time in almost a year. Don't get me wrong... it's always on my "to do" list, and driving me nuts because I can never seem to get everything done and have time to update. To top things off, I have NO CLUE as to where my fic list is and since my computer crashed a while back I've lost all fics that I needed to add or update. So, I'm now on the hunt for Hilde/Duo Hilde/? fics like crazy. FFn is no help. There's only a small selection of fics in the Hilde catagory of the GW area. My emails were lost from the mailing list when my comp died, and Yahoo's being a bitch and deleted all the attachments in the archive.
SO if you know a good Hilde/Duo or Hilde/whoever fic, (that's complete!) please email!
Now, for the excuses. Sure, no one wants to hear them again because I've said them all a million times before, but oh well, it seems to be theraputic for me to write them out. Probably no one bothers to visit the site anymore anyway because I've been so slack about updating.

Anyway here it goes: Work's been a bitch! For the past year and a half I've spent practically all my time traveling instead of in my office, which is where I've always done the majority of my updating. HOWEVER...now that my most problem client has been safely tucked away into a facility and receiving 24/7 care, I find that (crosses fingers and prays that I'm not jinxing myself) everything is kind of calm with my other clients and for the past couple of weeks I've had time to just hang out in my office and goof with the computer. Even though the damn agency has blocked my site because it contains "adult content", I can still format fics to upload when I get home.

Maybe I should just go ahead and face up to the fact that I am SLACK! Of course if you're a regular visitor to the site, then you're well aware of that already. *sigh* I apologize. I do have many fics that need to be formatted and uploaded. I hope to get this done in the next few weeks. I want to make a new section for the fics that I've written...I've written about eleven, but only three or four are posted on this site... They're all on FFn, but I wasn't sure where to put them up on here. --Therefore I'm going to make a new section where I'll put up those fics and all the beautiful art people have drawn for those fics.
News on the site move:
If there's anyone out there with time on their hands and wants to help with the site by going through all (yes, ALL! yikes!) the fics and letting me know which ones are "incomplete", then send me a list of the titles and authors, it would be so helpful. I'll then hunt down the newest parts and update them. Some I know aren't finished and, saddly, probably won't ever be. I really wish Neptoon 16 would finishe Neverending Story; that fic was so awesome!

The site move has been delayed. I've found a few good places that are large and priced reasonably, but I just haven't had the time or money to get it done. The economic crunch that's hit the state I live in (I work for the state) has really taken it's toll. Taxes are up...travel expenses/reimbursement is down<--that's the disposable income I use to finanace my anime purchases and what I will use for the monthly payment for a private domain. Maybe after Christmas I'll get everything done. I hope so, because I've gotten a ton more doujinshi scanned, and Reiko (*hugs) sent me four really really REALLY delicious totally Duo x Hilde books last week! They are sooo sweet and romantic...lots of kissing, hugging, peeps into their bedroom. Oh and the kids (all four of them!!!) are adorable! ^_^
I now only post a fic when it's finished... that way I won't lose track and forget about checking for new parts.
Oh yeah... the current excuses for not updating are just the same old crap. Lucky me. Work's a bitch, and the migraines are bitchier. fun fun. Ok, I'll admit I have a scorching obsession with Final Fantasy VIII--Seifer and Quistis(!!!). My spare time lately has been in completing Final Fantasy 10, and Kingdom Hearts, which we're still working on getting to the end...Cloud looks so damn awesome, and I can't wait to find Sephiroth! WooHoo! Yeah BABY! *cough* ummmmmm...yeah.

Ok, yes, I've been a horrible horrible person! It's been an eternity since I've updated this site. I have several excuses (just skip over these if you don't want to hear me whine). First, I've been feeling really bad since about Christmas...my migraines have been particularlly bad and more frequent, and I found out about a month ago I have mono, and am severely anemic. SO, sometimes it just seems like too much of an effort to do anything when I get home from work except crash on the couch. AND since I've been spending a lot of time on the couch lazing around, the time I don't spend snoozing has been almost totally dedicated to once again destroying Sephiroth or Ultimecia. Yes, I'm a FF7 and FF8 junkie. (FF9 and ff10 don't do that much for me). Yuffie just reminds me so much of Hilde for some reason...maybe it's the perkiness...anyway, I love that chick--and VincentxYuffie fics are devine. I have no excuse for loving the Seiftis/Quifer pairing...none other than Seifer is damn sexy and Quistis is kick-ass cool.
*sigh* those fics are devine too.
HOWEVER....
Thanks for being patient with me, and thanks for the emails. Even the not so nice ones that yell at me for not updating are kind of welcome cause they let me know people are still interested in the site.

Tripod just axed half the doujinshi site because they took their free MB down from 50MB to 20MB.
SOOOOOO I have decided to break down and just buy a freakin' domain.
I'm currently shopping around looking for the best price and most stable looking place to become DxH A's new permanent home. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Believe it or not, I am actually working on an update. That doesn't mean that it'll be up tomorrow, or even next week, but it'd be cool if it was. No promises on the date they'll be posted. I've learned my lesson about that. I format a fic here and there in my spare time.

It's been forever i know, but hopefully it's going to get better now. Lyo is going to become a partner in the site and help get this place up to date. Soi, from the mailing list, has also volunteered to help out. YAY! i've just got to get my lists in order so we can figure out where to start and find all the fics that need formatting and posted. Then i'll get to scanning all the dj's i want to post. I've gotten some really good 2xH ones, plus i have three that have been translated that need scanning and posting ASAP. Whew!

i've taken a new position in the agency i work in, and it involves a lot of traveling. soooo i no longer have a lot of free time to sit around in my office goofing off and getting some updating done.
i have, however, realized that i did an update that i didn't list on here. it was done sometime in November i think. anyway, it's the fics marked with a yellow "New", that are in the holiday, and the New fic section of the 2xH archive.

have i been slack lately or what?!!!? life's been way hectic, but i have been scanning the most incredible dj...Secret Distance, every chance i get.

believe it or not, i started working on formatting some fics for a fic update! (don't pass out from shock!) i have pages and pages listing the names and authors of fics i need to post, so it will take me a while to get them all up, however, i've decided to do freqent small updates as i go along rather than saving all i've formatted and doing one big update. with winter coming up, and the days getting shorter, i hope to have more free time to kick back at the computer and actually get some stuff done. before all the moving stuff started back in August, i had begun the lay out for a new anime fic site featuring fics and pics of personal favorite pairings from various animes. (Rurouni Kenshin--K&K of course, and SaitoxTokio<--i'm obsessed with that couple...BIG TIME!!! OLS--Gene and Mel; Orphen--anybody and everybody! just to name a few). anyway... i hope to get back to that soon too. btw... anyone know of some good SaitoxTokio fics? i've found some fantastic ones, but my addiction seems to grow everyday, and i'm dying to read more!!!! lol

more pages to Secret Distance. pages 1-39 are now up. in the first pages of this dj, others appear besides duo and hilde, then there's a few pages of a short story, but after that it's ALL duo and hilde! SWEET STUFF!!! the reason i scanned and posted all the pages to the short story which is of course all in kanji... is because later they will all be replaced by english translations. ^___^ YAY!

i haven't had the chance to update in fics in a long long time. i have a large list i need to post, but i just haven't had the time. in the last month i've had to move this site, then the whole Doujinshi section got deleted for violating some freakin ToA, so i had to move it again.

i'm still working on moving the doujinshi section out of 50megs because they're going to start deleting stuff on the 12th. (the site is now 50MB, but they're now going to allow only 12mb of space. stupid people!
i can't wait to get everything moved... i still have a TON of fics to put up. (waves to Lirpa and everyone else who's sent me stuff---i am SO sorry it's taking so long!)

i am so sick of moving all this stuff. *sigh* as usual i'm slow, but all of the fic archive one is up except for Reminisce part one, and Only Human part one...i'm gonna have to do some serious searching through my disks for them. The gallery is down and will be down until all fics are up and the sites running smoothly. There seems to be a problem viewing the site with Netscape. i'm going to work on that little bug once i get everything uploaded, but more than likely if you're reading this, then you're using explorer anyway.
ok, i've worked all day cleaning up arch one, so i'm off to watch a little Sorcerious Stabber Orphen *happy sigh----Hartia RULES!* and then a some tasty Gensomaden Saiyuki (Hakkai!) (yes, i have to plug my fave new past times! just spreading the love! ) ^___^
